Day 4: The Three Hour Tour

Another beautiful day today, so we had a lot of time on the boat to explore the area by water. St. Joseph's island is quite close so the kids got to experience speeding towards the island by boat, and arguing about which side of the boat was the windiest. We stopped at Richards Landing and walked through the little touristy shops with all the American tourists. Hilton beach was our next stop for ice cream (Gabe was ecstatic!).

The highlight for the kids was watching Mike get thrown off the tube behind the boat. Below they all go into great detail about the tubing adventures.

Alie:
Today was a boating and swimming day. We took off early in the morning and went to two islands. The first one for tourism and the second for ice cream. After returning we had a very quick lunch and then headed back out again for tubing. We all took a turn and then dad went and he flying off. After docking the kids jumped in the lake to cool off and then went into the hot tub. After getting out we noticed I was reacting to the sunscreen and getting red dots all over. Later that night we relaxed on the porch and watched the 4th of July fireworks across the lake.

Gabe:
Today I ate two big bowls of fruit loops! Then I got into my bathing suit and all of us got into the bout and we all went to two islands on one island we got pop and on the other island, we got ice cream. Then we went back to the house we (Alie Julian and I) all went into the hot tub to relax. After that, we all got on the bout and went tubing. Julian was a daredevil because he went first and then I went next. I was so scared but I really enjoyed. Then it was Alie's turn she did really good. Then it was dads turn he laid on his stomach his first time was a short time because he fell off so he got another turn but he fell off again so we just pick him up and went home. When we got home we watched a movie but we got interrupted When the neighbours came over to ask if they could go tubing with us the next day and we said yes. Then we went back inside and finished our movie. Then we had dinner and went to bed but we got woken up because of the fireworks then we went to bed.

Julian:
Today I got up very late and had a quick breakfast and went out boating. We went to Richards Landing and got some pop and looked around. After that, we went to Hilton Beach and got ice cream. Gabe was very excited about the ice cream. Then we boated around Bruce Mines and went home. Once we got home we loaded up the tube and went tubing. I went fist and it was amazing! After Gabe and Alie did it Dad was up and we got a longer rope for him so that we could through him out of the wake. He fell off twice! We got low on fuel and so I went one more time and we went home. We had dinner and watch the USA 4th of July fireworks across the Great Lake and went to bed.
