Hello everyone! We made it to Bruce Mines and are having an amazing time visiting with my Mom and Vic at their beautiful house on Lake Huron.
Our first day of travel went really well considering the excitement of the kids and the late night. They were exhausted after not sleeping much on the plane, and they passed out really quickly once we got in the car for the 6-hour drive to Bruce Mines. We had a few pit stops on the way here and found a nice little place to eat by the French River. The kids were so happy to finally get here and the tiredness was quickly forgotten in their rush to swim and explore the house. Oh, and playing with Lotti the puppy took priority for most of the day. We finished our day with a bonfire and beautiful fireworks off the dock.
Looking forward to some time to relax and visit on Wednesday. The boat and lake are calling!
Alie:
Today we went on our first plane ride of the trip. It took off at midnight and I was able to edge in about an hour and a bit of sleep before we started descending and my ears started popping. As soon as we all stepped off the plane I could feel the humidity in the air and knew it was going to be a long tiring day. We took a limo to our car rental and then started the long six-hour drive to Nana's. Upon arriving we were greeted with the cutest little dog and I spent most are of the day playing with her.

Today I woke up on a plane with only 2 hours of sleep. I was so tired but I still made it all the way back to the airport. When we stepped off the plane the air had so much humidity I could barely breathe. When we got to the Tim Hortons that was in the airport. Me, Julian and Alie got tea. After 20 miners Julian dropped his tea on the ground and then I was just going to pick up my tea it slipped out of my hands and landed lid down. Then I was going to pick up my tea when it slipped out of my hands. Then we left in a limo to go rent a car. Ones we got our car we drove 6 hours all the way to Ottawa and now we are just going to sleep.
Julian:
Today we all went on an airplane and let me tell you they are nothing as I thought. I was sitting next to a guy that's liked as if he was in his fifties and all he did the whole 4 hour flight was snore and snore and snore! Well after we got off the plane we got Tim Horton's for breakfast. It was 6 am! We got an SUV Hyundai which was cool and then drove off. We drove from Toronto all the way to the Great Lakes. To my Nanna's and Grandpa's house. If you are wondering, they live in the bay off Lake Huron. After dinner, we fished, had a bonfire and set off fireworks. Today was super fun!!!!
