Day 9&10: The Lost Day and The First Day

It was a busy two days. The kids did really well with the short sleep, but we were all exhausted at the end of our first day.
Day 9 was saying goodbye to our family in Ontario, and waiting for/flying on the plane.
Day 10 we checked into our Airbnb (which is huge by Rome standards with four queen beds in four separate bedrooms) and went for a walk. We were able to see the Palace of Victor Emmanuel, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona (where we had dinner and entertainment), and the Trevi Fountain all lit up for the evening. There were a few smaller things in there too, but we were so tired it was hard to remember for all of us. Some of the best pictures are below.
The kids are having the greatest time, and are such troopers with all of the walking and ancient history.

Julian:
I woke up and said a quick goodbye to everyone and headed of to the airport. We drove for an hour and a half without stopping. Once we got there we walked in dropped off our bags and went to the waiting room. About three hours later we took off. They served us hot dinner and I fell asleep. After we landed it was already noon in Italia so that day we had no lunch or breakfast. We left the airport and checked into our Air BnB.  We took a train to a BIG Monument walked around it for a half-hour and each got some gelato and went for dinner. The waiter picked on Gabe in a funny way because we all had a Margarita pizza except for him. While we had dinner we saw a lot of buskers. One of them was a good band and there were break dancers and a guy that was dressed up like  Michael Jackson and danced like him. After dinner, we went to a huge fountain and chucked some coins into it. Then we returned home and went to bed. Today was great.

Alie:
Today I woke up and I instantly knew it was going to be a long day. We slowly woke up and then went out to buy a few things we needed for Italy. After returning back at the house we said our goodbyes and took off to the airport. Before we got to the airport however we quickly dropped off our rented car and then the company drove us to the airport. Once we got there we checked in and got some waffles for dinner since we were four hours early. When we got on the plane afterwards they ended up serving us dinner anyways and then we watched a movie and fell asleep as soon as it ended. When we landed in Italy it was already noon so we took off to check into the Air BnB. Later that evening we went sightseeing and got some gelato and then some pizza which was DELICIOUS! We watched a lot of street buskers while eating including some musicians and a guy dressed like Michael Jackson. After eating we went to the Trevi fountain and then bought some wine for the adults. We then got home, showered and then went right to bed. I loved our first day in Italy.

Gabe:
Today I woke up and I went into my family's house and I had breakfast I was so hungry because I  had a small dinner last night. After breakfast, we all said goodbye then we drove to the airport where we had dinner when we got on the plane we all watched a movie then we went to sleep. I got 4 hours of sleep then I watched another movie. When we got off the plane we all drove to our apartment. After we saw the apartment we walked around and then we saw some fountains then we got some dinner wich everyone got a Margarita pizza except me. When we got back to the apartment we all had showers then went to bed.
