Day 3: Bruce Mines

It has been so nice to feel fully warm and wear my summer clothes finally! I promise I won't talk about weather the entire trip, but I was getting really sick of the rainy cold in Alberta, so we are soaking up the sun and warmth here, and doing as much as we can outside.

Fishing and fireflies were on the schedule today! We got out on the boat today and were all able to catch one fish each! In the photo below we are all holding our fish and I would appreciate any comments on mine being the biggest. You'll also notice that Mike's is the smallest...

Julian:
Today we went fishing and all of us caught a fish. All the fish we caught were pike. Now we are cooking dinner which is fish and chips all made out of the pike we caught. At lunch, Grandpa Vics Niece came with her Black Lab Mary. We might have another fire again tonight but it probably won't be a bonfire because we don't have as much wood as yesterday. Today was fun and I will write to you tomorrow.

Gabe:
Today I caught the first fish out of 7 people but all of us caught a fish and for dinner. We are having fish and chips made out of the fish we got. One of the fish, the one that Alie got, ate a different fish before it went for the bate. When we got back we chopped up the fish but before we chopped the fish we took a picture of us all holding our fish by the gills. We are just about to eat dinner.

Alie:
Today was a pretty laid back day. We woke up and relaxed for a while. When it got warm we went out fishing and caught seven fish which we ate for fish and chips at dinner. Around lunch, Grandpa Vic's niece came over with her black lab Mary. Mary was ten years old and super, super cute. That night we spent some time outside on the porch talking. It was a nice, relaxing day.
